Support Office
Role & Service

Responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of participants involved in human research projects, in partnership with the research community.

Supports UCLA research programs in their efforts to enhance and further improve the safety of workers and the environment, the physical security of research areas and the welfare of laboratory animals.

Provides financial management support of sponsored project funds for the UCLA research community.

Provides leadership in shaping, interpreting and implementing UC and UCLA research-related policies, procedures and guidance.

Provides risk management programs and services to the UCLA campus, including Workers' Compensation, claims processing and training in insurance and risk matters.

Provides policies and forms on topics ranging from human subjects disbursements to employee recognition and reward program.

Provides a single portal to resources, expertise and best practices regarding study design, implementation and close out.

Provides an overview on how limited submission opportunities are handled, along with a portal listing open, extended and closed limited submission opportunities.
