OROS and OES announcements for the September AWG meeting
New mandatory federal trainings will be required of all key personnel named on a proposal.
The Research Security training available via Citi fulfills this requirement for each of the following (see link to policy for each embedded below):
OCGA will not submit proposals without all key personnel, including subaward key personnel, having completed this new training. Training must be completed within 12 months of proposal submission.
New award type for proposals with foreign subs, effective 1/25/26, applications that include foreign subawards will need to apply to Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) that allow a multi-project component. The domestic and foreign components will be submitted via a single proposal and will be reviewed together. If selected for funding, NIH will directly fund distinct awards to the prime site and to the foreign subaward site. NOFOs for this new award type are expected to be released by 11/25/25. More info can be found here.
Questions to consider when working on your RPPR:
In all cases, PIs should discuss with POs prior to submitting RPPR to discuss options. Keep in mind that even if the PO supports, the GMS may not.
New effort reporting system: Employee Compensation Certification (ECC) is on track to go to live in October 2025 for salaries and wages with an Earn End Date of 4/1/25-9/30/25. EFM will be offering 3 trainings in October to provide an overview of the new system. Please see the attached email for more info and to register for a training session.
